Nuestros profesores

Concepcion Ocon, Director Concepcion graduated from the University of N.M. 2002 with an Education Specialist (EdS) degree. In 2006 she realized her dream of having her own in home childcare program after the birth of her daughter. Her favorite thing about what she does is developing relationships with the children that she teaches and their families. She believes that small class size and the development of a strong community allows her team to really know each child as an individual and to provide a solid and supportive foundation in the early years.

Filosofía

At our school, We strive to create a safe and caring community of young explorers inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. Our program is a place where children can learn through doing, invent through making, and solve problems by working together. We believe that when children are truly engaged with their environment, magic happens. Our team of experienced and innovative teachers do this by creating a space driven by the interest and ideas of the children who inhabit it.

At our school, we teach the concepts of math, science, engineering, arts,social sciences and early literacy through our play-based , child - led curriculum. We use the interest and ideas of the children as a jumping off place. The materials are open- ended and invite discovery. Children make their own investments and draw their own conclusions whenever possible.

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application at www.wonderschool.com/concepcion-‘s-school-9539/apply – note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.
