Welcome to the Children’s Learning Center!
My name is Macarena Blevins, and I am pleased to introduce myself as the CLC’s director. My professional background is rooted in education, coaching, and communication. For the past ten years, I have worked as a leader, teacher, program coordinator, and student mentor in public and private education. I look forward to using these collective experiences at CLC.
I am committed to embracing the positive traditions and practices already in place at our Center while working diligently to ensure success in the future, especially with the introduction of the renowned Reggio Emilia Approach to learning.
My motivation is “Children First, Every Day.” All children should receive an exciting, relevant, high-quality education in a safe, nurturing, and rich learning environment. Together, we can help them thrive and provide an education that is first to everyone.
In addition to my passionate professional career, my proudest achievement is my family. I am a wife to my supportive husband, Josh, a brilliant business manager, and we are parents to a beautiful furry pit bull named Luna. We have lived in Albuquerque for almost three years and love its diversity that embraces our cultures.
I look forward to welcoming you to a joyful learning journey with our children, dedicated teachers, parents, and community members. Our door is always open.
Sincerely, Macarena Blevins

In a Reggio-inspired child care program, each child is viewed as an individual with great capacity and creativity. The child isn’t someone to be shaped and formed but an individual with unique personality and abilities. Our teachers and staff are highly trained to build positive relationships with children and families, promoting creativity and problem solving. Children learn through adult interaction and positive redirection, developing into their own person with valued choices. We accept every child without prejudice and believe in the importance of parental involvement in education.

Children’s Learning Center is a Five Star FOCUS Center and offers free New Mexico PreK to all eligible students. We are also accredited by The National Early Childhood Program Accreditation. Our center proudly participates in the USDA’s Child and Adult Care Food Program. We provide nutritious meals and snacks each day for your child at no extra cost to parents! Our educational philosophy and pedagogy are focused on the Reggio Emilia approach. The Reggio Emilia philosophy is an approach to teaching, learning and advocacy for children. In its most basic form, it is a way of observing what children know, are curious about and what challenges them. We have open spots for children ages 2-5. Give us a call!
