Hi! My name is Jenna, and this is my family in-home childcare. I can’t wait to show you all the amazing things we provide for you and your family. A little about me, I am a mom of 3 my daughter Isabelle is 6, Nathan is 5 and Kayden is 3. I have two dogs in my home who are all up to date with shots and vaccines, I also have two cats who are also all up to date on everything.

My education and experience are as follows; I have worked in childcare for 6 years. I have a CDA in infants and toddlers, I am CPR and first aid certified and I have an associate degree in Early Childhood Education. I am currently working on my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Added to my handbook is all my certifications and trainings I have taken.

It is my philosophy that every child I encounter is met with respect and love. I am a play-based learning childcare. Now I know what you are thinking “what does it mean when you say you are play-based”? Let me answer that for you. When I say I am play-based it means that our education and curriculum is based on the child. We encourage child led activities and open-ended play. For a child to learn they must be interested in the activity, they will not learn if they are forced to do something. I also encourage independence and I work on making each child one ready to take on the world. Examples of what I teach, cleaning up after ourselves (playtime, and mealtimes), putting on our own shoes, socks, and coats, washing our hands and going to the bathroom alone and being able to do independent play. I also work on kindergarten readiness. We learn the alphabet, recognizing upper case letters, and the start of sight words.
