Berneda spends a lot of time getting to know each child because she believes that each child learns differently. Berneda has four grandchildren that she has spent a lot of time with and has many years of experience working with children ages birth to 6.

At this school, we want the parents and children to feel comfortable and safe. We want Nurturing Minds to feel like a home away from home where all children feel welcome and safe.
We believe in spending time outside so that children are free to engage in play with nature!

Nurturing Minds is nestled within an apartment complex in Starksville, MS. We have a playground within walking distance of our center. Easy access to a local sports complex which has activities for children held daily.

Nurturing Minds is a child care focused on supporting each child through their different developmental stages. We want children to engage in play both inside and outside. We accept children ages 6 months to 5-years of age. We incorporate nature into all aspects of the curriculum and prioritize inquiry-based learning through play and hands-on experiences. At least thirty percent of the school day is spent outside.
