I am a mother of 4 children and am not only raising them, but also coaching their sports teams! Prior to opening my childcare program over two years ago, I was preparing to become a dental hygienist. Just before Covid hit, I began feeling a tug to return to education. When Covid hit, I realized just how many children needed a strong and stable environment to navigate everything happening in the world around them.
I am First Aid/CPR certified and have taken many classes through the Great Start program (20+ classes learning how to help toddlers regulate their emotions, learn through play, etc.). I have also recently completed a 30-hour Director course.
Filosofía
Our program focuses on the importance of the first years of life. Children are sponges, and we want to guide them to prepare for their future. We strive to support all children and all of their individual needs. We know there are different ways for every child to learn, and we create an environment where children educate through play in a safe & caring space.
Ubicación
We are located just east of the Shabazz Academy. We have a fenced-in outdoor play area in a safe and quiet neighborhood. Main cross road Martin Luther King BLVD and Barnes Ave. Down the street from Frosty Corner ice cream parlor.
