Shay Moton, M.Ed, QBHP Director
Ms. Shay is very passionate about advancing children with positive self-concept and literacy skills. Shay has over 15 years experience working in education with children newborn to high school age. Shay Moton is masterful working with newborn to preschoolers. Shay has earned a Bachelor Degree in Mental Health (1998) from WilberForce University and her Masters Degree in Special Education Cross categorical (2015) from Grand Canyon University and also went on to pursue another degree in ABA Therapy in (2018) from University of Santa Barbara California.

At Kid Caves Development Center, we believe that play is the heart of learning. Our philosophy centers around the idea that children learn best when they are actively engaged and having fun. We create a warm and nurturing environment where play-based learning fosters curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of discovery. In our cozy spaces, children are encouraged to explore, imagine, and collaborate with their peers. We understand that through play, children not only develop critical cognitive skills but also build social, emotional, and physical abilities. Each activity is thoughtfully designed to inspire wonder and encourage children to express themselves freely. Our dedicated teachers are here to guide and support each child’s unique journey, allowing them to take the lead in their learning experiences. Whether it’s through storytelling, art, or hands-on exploration, we celebrate every moment of growth and discovery. At Kid Caves, we embrace the joy of learning, nurturing each child’s potential in a loving and educational atmosphere. We’re located in the heart of Hazel Park; on E. 9 Mile Rd. With easy access to I-75 & I-696 freeways, access to & from KCDC is just a short drive away. We’re a few blocks away from the Hazel Park Police Department, City Hall and Library.
