My name is Clarivel Rosanna Martinez Gross. I was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, on November 6, 1974, and I am the proud mother of four daughters and one son. Although my professional background is in Administration, Marketing, and Sales, I made the decision to settle in the United States eight years ago in search of new opportunities.

In 2021, I began working part-time as a teacher’s assistant at the Child Development Center at United Methodist Community House. It was there that I discovered my true passion for working with children. This path also allows me to honor the memory of my mother, who has always been my greatest inspiration. She was a dedicated teacher for over 30 years and raised my children and me with love, commitment, and strong values.

In 2022, I opened “Tata’s Day Care” in her honor. On March 2, 2026, we proudly opened Tata’s Day Care Center to serve even more families in our community. I am truly excited about this journey and committed to continuously growing and improving so I can provide children and their families with the highest quality care and support. 💛

Tata’s Day Care Center is located in a convenient and vibrant area near downtown Grand Rapids, specifically on Cesar E. Chavez Ave SW (formerly Grandville Ave) in the Roosevelt Park neighborhood. This area is highly walkable and easily accessible for families commuting to and from work.

We are near major streets like Grandville Ave SW, Wealthy St SW, and Franklin St SW, making drop-off and pick-up quick and convenient. Our location is also close to community landmarks such as the Cook Arts Center and Southwest Middle/High School, as well as local shops, grocery stores, and restaurants.

At Tata’s Day Care Center, we provide a warm, loving, and bilingual (English/Spanish) environment where children learn through play and meaningful experiences. What makes us unique is our focus on love as the foundation of learning, small group sizes, and strong relationships with families.

We offer a play-based, developmentally appropriate program that supports each child’s social, emotional, and academic growth. Our classrooms follow a structured routine while allowing flexibility for children to explore and learn at their own pace.

We also create a strong sense of community by hosting family events and celebrations throughout the year, including cultural activities, holiday celebrations, and special themed days. These moments help families feel connected and involved in their child’s learning journey.

Our goal is to make every child feel safe, valued, and excited to come to daycare every day 💛
