Samantha Smith, Director
I am a licensed family home childcare provider with both professional training and real-life experience. I studied Early Childhood Development at Delta College, which gave me a strong understanding of how young children grow, learn, and respond to care at each stage. I have also spent many years working in childcare alongside my mom, who has operated a family daycare for over 20 years.
I am a mother of five and a homeschooling parent, which has greatly shaped the way I care for children. Homeschooling has taught me how to follow a child’s pace, recognize different learning styles, and create routines that support both learning and emotional well-being. I understand the trust it takes to leave your child in someone else’s care, and I take that responsibility seriously. My goal is to provide a calm, supportive environment where children feel safe, valued, and genuinely cared for every day.
Filosofía
My approach to childcare is centered on creating a safe, steady, and loving environment where children feel comfortable being themselves. I believe young children learn best through play, daily routines, and positive relationships. We focus on building trust, confidence, and emotional security while supporting age-appropriate learning through hands-on activities, creativity, and exploration.
Ubicación
Our daycare is located on the west side of Bay City in a quiet residential neighborhood, close to North Union. The area is calm and comfortable, providing a home-like setting for children. The location is easy to access and convenient for drop-off and pick-up, helping families start and end their day smoothly.

Located in Bay City, Aunt Samantha’s Daycare offers a calm, welcoming home where children are cared for with patience, consistency, and genuine love. With years of hands-on experience and a family history in childcare, I understand how important it is for kids to feel safe and settled, especially during times of change. My daycare is small by design, allowing me to truly know each child, follow their pace, and provide structure. My hope is to provide children with a place that feels familiar and calm, and parents with the peace of mind that their child is in caring hands.
