Pwofesè nou yo
Neva Hein, Owner/Teacher Neva has decades of experience with kids, including working at an early childhood center, teaching dance to ages 3-5, nannying, and is a mom to 4! Her latest two kids (twins) inspired her to invite other kids into the fun and learning they already do on a daily basis. Neva has an undergraduate degree in Engineering and a Master’s degree in Data Analytics. As such, she has quite the inclination for STEM activities with the kids.
Filozofi
Our onboarding philosophy focuses on teaching children to THINK by encouraging exploration, questioning, and problem-solving. We believe in guiding learning through curiosity and conversation, not just through instruction. Additionally, our program at West of the River Kids is play-based and tailored to the ages and interests of children from 16 months to 4 years old. We provide a variety of activities including arts/crafts, imaginative play, and music/dance to nurture their natural curiosity and eagerness to learn through play and hands-on experiences.
Kote
We are located within a short walk to the library and playground which we visit regularly. We’re on a busy street, yet have a completely fenced in yard. Great for playing while observing the fun sights and sounds of a city. We’re just a mile west from downtown Indianapolis- so a great location if you’re working downtown, or commuting from Avon, Speedway, etc. I love our neighborhood of Haughville, and the diverse families and businesses that are here.
