Hello, welcome to our program! My name is Ms. Sybil, the founder and director of Aunt Sybil’s Daycare. I have been caring for young children for 15 years professionally by always owning my own childcare. I am a parent of 6 kids ages 9 years - 27 years. I am passionate about early education and truly love having an impact on the earliest stage of children’s academic lives. I am excited to meet you and provide your children with the highest quality care and education.

Filosofía

At Aunt Sybil’s Daycare, we follow the Play-Based curriculum philosophy, which is a non-academic approach to developing skills designed to provide a firm foundation for later academic success. We help your child develop feelings of security, accomplishment, and self-esteem while living the daily and weekly rhythms that are woven into the cycle of the year. On any given day, we may enjoy art, storytelling, movement, and local excursions to experience the world around us. Children are encouraged to explore and learn through unstructured play, which fosters lifelong creativity and intellectual curiosity.

Ubicación

Aunt Sybilt’s Daycare is located in a single-family home in Borah High School Neighborhood. We are right off Curtis Road. We are close to the public bus system and we have a pickup/drop off for Hillcrest Elementary School.

Our school has been thoughtful designed to provide a safe and fun learning environment for your children. We have plenty of space for children to engage in learning and exploring, arts and crafts, as well as rest time, and provide supervised outdoor play time in in our beautiful backyard but also sometimes go on walks and head over to public parks.

Acerca de nuestro programa

At Aunt Sybil’s Daycare we run our program family style. This means that we have children from all age groups and the little kids are learning from the older kids (like putting on socks!).

We strive to teach children to be more independent. We collaborate with parents on sleep, potty training, binky, etc.

We host a few field trips a year. We usually always head to the corn maze in October and some trips to the parks. The Fair is always a trip we strive to make each year as well. At young ages, we teach children through hands-on learning (color identification, number counting, etc). When children get a little older, we transition to preschool curriculum but we always meet our children where they are at educationally.
