Nuestros profesores

Ms. Karan, Owner/Director/Teacher Karan started this family child care home in 1999, she has earned an A.S. degree in Early Childhood Development and an A.A. degree. She is active in her state and local associations. Karan believes in a child-led play based childhood. We are not preparing children for kindergarten, we are laying the foundation for higher learning.

Lauren Longfellow, Assistant Teacher Ms Lauren has been facilitating in our play program since 2017. Ms. Lauren has her 40 hour DCF hours, CPR and first aid and continues her education yearly. She believes in our philosophy and helps guides children learning through play. Her passion is books, reading and knowledge.

Filosofía

We strive to be a model of play-based child-led early child care education for our community. It is the goal of the KBears Home Child Care, LLC’s program to promote in each individual child their abilities to be curious, creative, and courteous through PLAY. As a provider, it is my goal to provide a safe, supportive, and caring environment for learning to take place through PLAY. Our end goal is NOT Kindergarten but to have a foundation for lifelong learning.

Ubicación

We are located in the neighborhood of Edgewater in the Florida Shores. We have been in our home for 24 year. We are just south of state road 442 and 5 miles from Interstate 95.

Play is a child’s pathway to lifelong learning and is supported in this program.

We believe there is more than getting ready for kindergarten, we believe laying a foundation and meeting children where they are. We build on their strengths, courage (to try new things), voice(social & emotional needs) and perseverance to become a lifelong of learner.

If we are not currently hosting tours, you’ll see a “Request Info” button at the top of this page; if you submit your information using this button, we will notify you when we start host tours again in the future.
3. Submit an Enrollment Application If you’re interested in enrolling, submit an application by selecting Apply to enroll. If this option if not available, you can message the program director. Please do not apply to enroll until you have set up a tour and visited the program.
