Mercedes Cordero - Owner and Head Teacher

Hello! I am Mercedes Cordero, the founder of Dimer Family Daycare. I was inspired to start my own program because it has always been my dream to design my own space where children can blossom and grow. I have 10 years of experience working with young children.

I hold an Associate Early Childhood Teacher Certificate from City College of San Francisco. I have completed 22 units of coursework in Early Childhood Education / Child Development from City College.

I am originally from Nicaragua and Spanish is my first language.

At Dimer Family Daycare, we believe that children grow, learn, and thrive by feeling safe, loved, and nurtured. It is our goal to provide an environment that helps each child to feel confident and capable. In our program, children will feel empowered to follow their own interests in a safe space.

Dimer Family Daycare is located in a welcoming, cozy apartment in the Crocker Amazon neighborhood.

We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include dramatic play area (for self-expression and empathy), block area (for gross motor skills and problem solving), and art area (for expressing emotions and ideas).

Children will have some outdoor time everyday at a local park or playground. Children need space to run, jump, and move!

At Dimer Family Daycare, I want to provide a loving home away from home.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application at www.wonderschool.com/dimer-family-daycare-2690/apply – Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
