Hello! I am Norma Ramirez, the founder of Growing Together Family Childcare Wonderschool. I was inspired to start my own program because it has always been my dream to design my own space where children can blossom and grow. I have 9 years of experience working with young children. I earned an Associate’s Degree in Child Development, Infant and Toddler Certificate, and have been trained in the Program for Infant and Toddler Care (PITC) and Resources for Infant Educarers (RIE). I also have my Teacher and Site Supervisor State Permit.

Welcome! Growing Together Family Childcare is an extraordinary place for children to grow, it’s a place that is molded by our philosophy and cultural backgrounds. This is a place that provides a safe, nurturing, and stimulating multicultural and diverse environment to meet each child’s interests, needs, learning styles and abilities including all areas of development. Everyone is respectfully included and represented throughout our program so that our staff, children, and families feel welcomed and acknowledged.

Ubicación

Growing Together Family Childcare Wonderschool is located in a welcoming, warm single-family home in the San Fernando neighborhood. We are close to Mission College and the Olive View Medical Centers. Additionally, we are right off of the 210 Freeway.

Children will spend about half of their time outdoors in my private yard. Connecting with nature lets children gain deeper knowledge of themselves and the world.

The mission of Growing Together family Childcare is to provide a safe, nurturing, caring, and lovely environment for all children. Our emphasis is to allow children to grow and develop in an educational program by promoting enriching activities where children learn by playing. We focus on offering plenty of developmentally appropriate opportunities that stimulate children to develop their imagination and explore the world around them. We ensure that we are respecting the needs of every family and involves them in our program as same as work collaboratively with the community.

We work on social emotional, language, physical, and cognitive skills through play. In this way, we help children believe in themselves and take pride in their learning journey. Respect for all beliefs and cultures is an important value in our program. We support kindness and open-mindedness to all.

I believe that the goal of childhood educators is to help families to educate, guide, and prepare their children for the world of learning. I believe that each child is special and unique creature that caregivers have to treat them as individual; respecting their own needs, feelings, and backgrounds and each must be appreciated and respected. The environment will promote learning experiences to ensure that every child is surrounded by care, safety, and love.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application. Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
