Hello! I am Erica Cortez , the founder of Cortez Family Childcare Wonderschool. I was inspired to start my own program because it has always been my dream to design my own space where children can blossom and grow. I have 2 years of experience working with young children.

As a dedicated home daycare, we follow a child-centered approach that celebrates your little one’s uniqueness, drawing inspiration from both the Head Start and Montessori philosophies.

Our primary objective is to foster holistic development, ensuring that your child’s intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth is nurtured with utmost care and attention. We firmly believe in the power of play as a natural way for young minds to explore and learn about the world.

Cortez Family Childcare Wonderschool is located in a welcoming, cozy single family home in the Pico Rivera neighborhood.

We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include an art area (for expressing emotions and ideas), nature area (for discovering nature and science concepts), and dramatic play area (for self-expression and empathy).

Children will spend about half of their time outdoors at mix of both my private yard and local parks and playgrounds. Connecting with nature lets children gain deeper knowledge of themselves and the world.

At Cortez Family Childcare Wonderschool, I want to provide an environment that supports the cognitive, social, and emotional growth of each child.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application at www.wonderschool.com/cortez-family-childcare-wonderschool-3128/apply – Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
