Hello! I am Julia Hensch, the founder of Hensch Family Child Care Wonderschool. I was inspired to start my own program because I saw a need for high-quality care in my community. I have 13 years of experience working with young children. I value seeing each child for who they are and love the challenge of meeting them where they are at. I care deeply about caring for the whole child, family included, and look forward to sharing my passion with your child!

Welcome to Hensch Family Child Care Wonderschool! My goals include promoting the physical, emotional and social development of our children through daily activities through a safe, loving and comfortable environment where they can explore the world at their own pace.

Here, children will develop their intellectual and physical abilities throughout the realization of different tasks from arts & crafts, dramatic play, planned daily lessons and more.

Hensch Family Child Care Wonderschool is located in a welcoming family home in the Mission Hills neighborhood.

We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include dramatic play area which is great for self-expression and empathy, the manipulatives and math area which focuses on developing fine motor skills and beginning math concepts, and the reading area which supports literacy and also relaxation.

Children will have some outdoor time everyday in my private yard. I know. that children need space to run, jump, and move and have crelated an outdoor classroom to continue the learning!

At Hensch Family Child Care Wonderschool, I want to provide a loving home away from home.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application. Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
