My name is Amari Woods, and I have been working in the field with children since 2018. I worked for RBUSD( Redondo Beach Unified School District) for 3.5 years as an instructional aid in the Child Development Centers. I moved on during the beginning of the pandemic to venture out and reach more children outside of school districts. I decided to open up my own business as a Family Daycare provider , as my love for working with children was my dream. I also decided to become a foster mother soon after opening my business, to help children who were in unfortunate circumstances and who could not advocate for themselves; their beginnings will not define their future. I believe that all children should be given a chance in life and worked with, because they did not ask to be here. I have worked with ages infant through 9 years old, and I continue to look forward with working with many more.

Woods Day Care is a high-quality home day care providing a warm and inclusive atmosphere where my child felt cared for and supported. The staff is attentive, responsive, and genuinely interested in my child’s needs and development. Ms. Woods and staff are qualified, experienced providers passionate about working with my son and adapting their environment and schedule to meet his individual needs. I have observed the staff members working with children of various ages and backgrounds, demonstrating a deep understanding of their unique needs and behaviors.

Woods Day Care staff worked collaboratively with me to plan meals to meet my son’s dietary needs, incorporating various fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains during our baby led weaning period. Through open communication at drop off and pick up with staff, I gained valuable insights into my child’s progress, strengths, and areas needing further attention.

Woods Family Childcare works together with families to ensure that we as a team are raising children to aspire visionary success. Woods Family Childcare goal is to support families and encourage H.O.T ( honest, open, transparent) relationships, in order for children to have consistency and reach goals that will encourage them to excel in life. There will be learning, activities, adventures, fun, games and lots of laughter that the children of Woods Family Childcare will experience. We also believe in allowing children to discover their environments and being open-minded; learning from mistakes and taking ownership.
