Hello! I’m Josefina, the Director of Chavarria Family Wonderschool. I started this program 20 years ago because I wanted to serve my community; as a parent myself, I understand how hard it is to find affordable, high-quality child care. I have my Associates Degree in Child Development, and am the proud mother to three children and two grandchildren.

Comencé este programa hace 20 años porque quería servir a mi comunidad; como madre, entiendo lo difícil que es encontrar cuidado infantil asequible y de alta calidad. As a childcare provider, my philosophy is to provide every child in my care (special needs and non-special needs) with a positive environment full of love, understanding and respect, so that they are able to develop to the best of their potential socially, physically, intellectually and academically. I base my teaching on the belief that children are active individual learners. I work to create an environment where all children respect the individual differences of one another, which furthers the development of each individual child. I believe that respect and understanding are at the foundation of being a responsible, productive person in society. It is our goal to provide the right tools to further each child’s development. We focus on four main areas: socio-emotional, cognitive, perceptual and language. The children learn through play to continuously explore and develop themselves in these four areas. This is my philosophy towards care.

Mi filosofia como proveedora de cuidado infantil es lograr que los ninos tipicos y con necesidades especiales se desarollen en un ambiente positivo lleno de amor, comprension, respeto, estimulando su desarrollo social, fisico, intelectual y academico. Mi ensenanza se basa en que los ninos son aprendices activos y por esta razon se debe ayudar a que construyan una base firme donde el respeto es fundamental a las diferencias individuales y permita el desarrollo de actividades. Que le ayudara a ser adulto responsable y productivo a la sociedad. Nuestra prioridad es ofrecer a traves del juego los elementos necesarios para el desarrollo infantil que son cuatro areas: socioemocional, cognitiva, perceptual y lenguaje. Nuestro enfoque es brindarles la herramientas adecuadas que esten a su alcance para que desarrollen y descubran su aprendizaje, explorando a traves del juego. Este es mi trabajo como proveedora de cuidado infantil.

Chavarria Family Wonderschool is located in a warm and welcoming home in Inglewood, near the new stadium. Our street is quiet, peaceful and tree-lined. We have a dedicated detached classroom with learning centers, including a cozy reading area and lots of high-quality wood dramatic play toys. We also have a huge back patio with climbing structures, bikes and cars to ride, and a table for dining in the fresh air!

Chavarria Family Wonderschool se encuentra en un hogar cálido y acogedor en Inglewood, cerca del nuevo estadio. Nuestra calle es tranquila, pacífica y arbolada. 3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application. Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
