Hi! I’m Marlen Ortega, the Director of Ortega Family Wonderschool. I have always loved working with children, and before I moved to the United States, I was an elementary school teacher and a social worker in Honduras, working with young children of all ages and backgrounds. I started my program five years ago, and my husband, son and daughter are very involved in ensuring children come to a safe, inviting, loving home every day!
¡Hola! Soy Marlen Ortega, la Directora de Ortega Family Wonderschool. Siempre me ha encantado trabajar con niños, y antes de mudarme a los Estados Unidos, era maestra de escuela primaria y trabajadora social en Honduras, trabajando con niños pequeños de todas las edades y orígenes. Comencé mi programa hace cinco años, y ¡mi esposo y mis dos hijos están muy involucrados en garantizar que los niños lleguen a un hogar seguro, acogedor y cariñoso todos los días!

At Ortega Family Wonderschool, we believe children learn best through play, and especially by socializing with other children. We also believe in the importance of building connections with caregivers. I am dedicated to creating a peaceful environment where children feel safe and understood.

Ubicación
Ortega Family Wonderschool is located in a single family home on a quiet street in Canoga Park.
Children will spend much of their day playing outside in our enormous, green, tree-lined backyard, which we’ve designed as an outdoor classroom!

2. Tour our program
Come see what makes Marlen’s Wonderschool unique. Please schedule a tour or attend an Open House event.
3. Submit an Enrollment Application
If you would like to enroll, please submit an application. Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.
4. Enroll
After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
